Niki enjoys longer cuts but also crushes a traditional gentleman’s cut and likes helping curly haired clients figure out the best way to cut and style their hair. She studied hair at Empire Beauty School in Jersey City, NJ after deciding she didn’t want to bartend and wait tables anymore. • Niki was born in Bloomfield, NJ but currently lives in Wayne, PA. Her husband Steve is Bud’s longtime best friend and the two of them actually loaned Bud a portion of the money he needed to open up the first shop in South Philly (paid back in full plus interest😂🤙🏼). It’s very safe to say that if it wasn’t for Niki and Steve’s leap of faith on that shop - we probably wouldn’t be here today. • She just became a Mom to a beautiful baby girl named Sunny, loves reality TV and comfort shows like FRIENDS & Big Bang Theory. Her favorite music is soul, soulful pop, artists like Olivia dean, Adele, Maren Morris, lake street dive, and Vance Joy. • When asked what she likes doing outside of work she said “The older I get the more I like food shopping on an early morning when the stores are quiet and peaceful lol hanging with my family and reading and watching shows.” • Niki is a true gem and a great haircutter and it’s a true honor to have her on the team. 💥MEET TRAE💥 Aka @thebohostylist • Trae is full time with us here at Whippersnappers. He has been cutting hair for 9 years. He studied Hair at the Paul Mitchell school in Orlando Florida after deciding he didn’t want to tend bar and wait tables anymore (CAN RELATE TRAE😂🤝). • Though he Loves to do classic cuts like Pompadours and also loves to cut “Anything Funky” - I gotta give Trae props and highlight his versatility. Dude can truly cut any style. When asked if theres anything he wants clients to know about him he said “I think the pickier someone is about there hair the better, I don’t mind a lot of questions, but I’m also cool with just winging it for people.” - What a Gent! • Hailing from Orlando, FL Trae now lives in South Philly but most recently relocated from Asheville, NC. He likes Indie/Alternative music and digs Horror movies like the recent hits Weapons and Obsession but also loves funnier stuff like Righteous Gemstones too. • His words, not mine: “I’m a big nerd, lots of board games, RPGs, tabletop games and video games” • Trae rules. He was my manager at Silk City when I was tending bar and we’ve been bros ever since. • Yesterday when he came in he told me the space next door to ours used to be a Blockbuster (RIP) & it’s wild to be sitting in a space that when he was young was a dry cleaners. • Geo gets a buzz all over and I line up his beard every week. We are both fathers who work our asses off so it’s really nice that me and my friend get to visit for 45 minutes a week and keep up on whats going on in each others lives. • I love this dude.
